The Cougars entered Thursday’s game with an 11-9 overall record and a 6-3 West Coast Conference record. Most recently, BYU gave him a 69-59 decision against Santa Clara. Nani Faratea scored 20 points on the day to lead the Cougars in scoring. Lorengastin led the team with 14 points and he added 13 rebounds, leading the team on the board and scoring a double-double. Despite their efforts, the Cougars were unable to beat the mighty Santa Clara his team.
When the two teams met earlier this season, BYU swept them 66-41.
