If the Middle East wins the race to host a historic title unification, they will negotiate two separate deals.

Also, Fury’s US promoter, Bob Arum, warned that it could be a record-breaking number.

He told Sky Sports:

“Both fighters agreed to have a fight. The problem is the site, and we’re talking to the Middle East, who is said to take home the biggest prize in boxing history.

“If so, money is money, so that’s where the fight comes in.

“Otherwise, both players would agree to play at Wembley this spring…but in my opinion the match will definitely take place within the first four months of the year.

“A fighter wants to do the best for himself, because a fighter’s career is limited no matter how good he is, and he wants to make as much money as possible.”

Floyd Mayweather’s victory over Manny Pacquiao, 43, in 2015 remains the most profitable fight of all time, earning around £500 million.

Mayweather, 45, took home almost £300 million from that alone as he sold a record 4.4 million pay-per-views in America.

In recent years, the Saudis have become big names in boxing matches, sending 33-year-old Anthony Joshua into the desert twice.

Most recently, he lost to Usyk, 36, in a rematch in Jeddah in August.

Meanwhile, Fury, 34, was a home ticketing sensation last year, with over 150,000 home fans watching his games.

He knocked out Dillian White, 34, in front of 94,000 at Wembley and stopped Derek Chisora, 38, at Tottenham in front of nearly 60,000.

So if an agreement cannot be reached with Saudi Arabia, Aram will not hesitate to fill another stadium.

“To mobilize 95,000 people at Wembley, we did it for the Dillian White match.

“Many of my friends who went to see the game said it was one of the best, if not the best, experiences of attending a sporting event.

“Now, a unification match between Tyson and Usik would be even more spectacular.”
