CLEARFIELD COUNTY, PA (WTAJ) — The Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League (WPAL) in DuBois hosts a free clinic for children to learn about the sport of boxing.

WPAL DuBois hosts free boxing clinics taught by 412 National Teams. The Team 412 Boxing Program is a youth program established to give the underfunded youth of Pittsburgh the opportunity to learn about boxing and compete at the national level.

From Friday, January 27th to Monday, January 30th, Team 41 will bring their talent and knowledge to Dubois to teach amateur boxing skills. The target age is men and women from 6 to 18 years old, but the clinic is for all ages.

This is an opportunity for children in the area to learn and see that anything is possible.

“When kids who have never been to the gym before or who have never tried the sport of boxing come to the ring and try it out, a lot of kids think they can’t do it.” Aaron Beatty, Executive Director and Head Coach of 814, said:

Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to complete a waiver form. A total of 9 sessions are scheduled as follows:

  • Friday, January 27th
  • Saturday, January 28th
  • Sunday, January 29th
  • Monday, January 30th
