There is optimism that Kevin Durant (MCL sprain) will return before the All-Star break. Durant, who will also be re-evaluated in two weeks, is also interested in playing in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“I want to play tomorrow if possible. So that’s my sense of urgency. Obviously, I don’t want to rush anything. I want to make sure I’m 100 percent. But I want to play,” Durant said. “I want to attend all these events”
Unfortunately for Durant, injuries in recent years have kept him from taking Hardwood on All-Star weekends. Since joining the Nets in 2019, he has only appeared in one All-Star Game.

“We’re not going to speculate beyond two weeks,” he said. “It was really solid the last time we spoke. It was supposed to be two weeks. I shut my mind off of it, got the report yesterday and will do it again two weeks from now.”
The Nets superstar forward is allowed to run and play basketball on the court, but continues to develop strength in his right knee. His next reassessment is two weeks after him.
