Another day, another name on the New York Yankees shortlist of possible trade targets: Max Kepler.
FanSided’s Robert Murray reports that Kepler is a “good bairro candidate”.
One team that has shown interest in Kepler is the New York Yankees, a hitter-friendly ballpark, according to sources.

Kepler, 29, was an MVP candidate for the 2019 Minnesota Twins, who finished 20th in the voting after setting career-highs with 36 home runs and 90 RBIs.
But last season, the outfielder batted .227 with nine home runs. Kepler is booked for $8.5 million this season, according to Spotrac. His contract includes a 2024 team option worth $10 million and a $1 million buyout.
Kepler would make sense for the Yankees, who are still looking for an outfield hitter after Andrew Benintendi signed a five-year, $75 million deal with the Chicago White Sox.

General manager Brian Cashman has also been linked on multiple occasions with Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star outfielders Brian Reynolds and Josh Harrison, as well as free-agent outfielder Julickson Proffer.
The Yankees’ left field contenders include Aaron Hicks and Oswaldo Cabrera. Cashman recently signed outfielders Billy McKinney, Willie Calhoun and Rafael Ortega.
