SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Tray Lyles scored a season-high 24 points, Harrison Barnes scored 15 of 20 points in Sacramento’s record first quarter, and the Kings scored against short-handed Memphis Monday night. They beat the Grizzlies 133-100.

The Kings made 12 3-pointers in just 13 attempts in the first quarter, tying an NBA record for 47 points. But Sacramento didn’t finish the game until he beat Memphis 33-10 in the fourth quarter.

Lyles was 6-8 out of the 3-point range for the Kings (27-19), who have won seven of their last eight games.

Domantas Sabonis had 14 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for his sixth triple-double of the season. Sabonis leads the NBA with 36 double-doubles.

“It’s a great team win,” Kings coach Mike Brown said. “I thought we were good defensively in the second half.”

Desmond Bain scored 21 points in Memphis (31-16) playing without Ja Morant and Stephen Adams. The Grizzlies have lost three in a row following his 11-game winning streak.

Jaren Jackson Jr. had 19 points and Dillon Brooks had 13 points and 6 assists. The Grizzlies will visit Golden State on Wednesday.
