The Chicago Cubs have made significant improvements this MLB offseason. With the addition of Dansby Swanson, Jameson Tyllon, Cody Bellinger, Trey Mancini and Eric Hosmer, the Cubs look completely different going into the 2023 MLB season.
In fact, CBS Sports’ Mike Axisa argued at a recent roundtable that Chicago is actually the most improved team in all of baseball. These comments come after a flurry of hype that the Cubs front office and owner group dumped more than $300 million on him this winter.
“I think the Cubs,” said Axia. “I don’t think they’re going to win NL Central with that, but I think they’re the ones who have developed the most in terms of the current squad compared to last season.”
It’s hard to go against Axia, but as I wrote here this morning inside the cubsChicago could very well win the division title.
Of course, a few good breaks are needed not only to fuel the chemistry inside the clubhouse, but also to keep the Cubs on their way.
But the front office makes sure all the ingredients for the recipe for success are in place.
