(Reuters) – Juventus set aside off-field matters to save a 3-3 draw with Atalanta in Serie A on Sunday.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side played their first game on Friday after being deducted 15 points of the season, leaving the former third-placed club in the middle of the table.

Atalanta took the lead five minutes later when forward Ademora Rukmann reached the edge of the box and fired a shot from a sharp angle to beat Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The hosts equalized in the 25th minute when Angel Di Maria converted a penalty awarded for a foul on Niccolò Fagioli by Ederson. Arkadiusz Milik completed his comeback less than ten minutes later with a volley inside the box from Fagioli’s cross.

It took eight minutes of the second half for Atalanta to regain the lead. Ruckmann scored his second goal in the 53rd minute after he equalized after Joakim Maehle 35 seconds from the restart.

Danilo equalized with a low free kick in the 65th minute.

Juventus are now ninth with 23 points, while Atalanta are fifth.
