SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Tyrese Maxsey scored 15 of 32 points in the third quarter and played without Joel Embiid and James Harden as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Sacramento Kings 129-127 to a perfect 5. Completed the game road trip. Saturday night.

The 76ers surged to tie the game at 86 on a 3-point play by Harrell with 6:59 left in the third quarter. The Kings regained the lead when Barnes scored the next five points, but the 76ers started a 16-5 run to end the quarter with a 102-96 lead.

Maxxie scored 12 of the 76ers’ first 16 points in the third quarter.

The 76ers opened up a 107-96 lead early in the fourth, with the Kings reducing the lead to one on two occasions. In the final game, Keegan Murray hit his 3-pointer with eight seconds left to make it 127-126. .

After Maxxie made two free throws on the next play to extend the lead by three points, Mathis Thybulle fouled Barnes on a three-point attempt. Barnes missed the first shot, made the second, and intentionally missed the third, but the 76ers rebounded to end the game.

The 76ers swept the series 2-0, including a 123-103 win in Philadelphia on December 14. The last time the Kings beat his 76ers was his 115-108 on February 2, 2019 in Sacramento.
