The Bruins maintain momentum heading into the next recruitment cycle.
2024 class athlete Faletau Saturala announced on Twitter late Wednesday night that he had received an offer from UCLA Football. Satuala plays basketball and lacrosse as well as safety and receiver roles at Bountiful High School (UT).
Satuala has additional offers from BYU, Utah, Utah, and Washington.
He has yet to publicly record a visit since Satuala began earning Division I offers in August.
The 6-foot-3-inch, 195-pound prospect has 60 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 6 interceptions and 6 pass breakups in 10 games during his junior season at Bountiful. On the other side of the ball, Saturala has his 26 receptions for 327 yards and he added 3 touchdowns, plus he has 11 carries for 14 yards and 6 of 9 passes. he added 82 yards.
At the end of the year, Saturala became Deseret News’ 2022 5A All-State Second Team.
According to 247Sports, Satuala is a 3-star prospect, but has no ratings from other major databases. 247Sports ranked Satuala the 3rd best recruit in Utah and the 25th safest in the country.

Satuala ranks 5th in safety in the western and mountainous regions.
UCLA sent out 28 offers for prospective classes in 2024, six of which have arrived in the past week alone. Sathuala will join tight end Roger Saleapaga and offensive tackle Isaiah Garcia on his offense, as well as two other Utah recruits who have received offers from the Bruins.
The staff also sent an offer to Cabrillo College safety Zeke Thomas on Tuesday to further replenish the inventory in the secondary. UCLA officially hired Cody Whitfield as cornerback coach earlier in the day, while Brian Norwood remained as the team’s defensive backs coach.
The Bruins have lost both super-senior starting safety Stephan Blaylock and Mo Osling III this offseason. Kenny Churchwell III, Alex Johnson, William Nemo Jr. and Jordan Anderson, who moved from Bowling Green, are veterans for most duties this year, but they will all be disqualified at the end of 2023.
Up-and-coming sophomores Kamali Ramsay and Clint Stevens, along with 2023 signing RJ Jones, appear to be UCLA’s young central figures for the time being.
