Lausanne, Switzerland – The 2nd edition of the ASBC U22 Men’s and Women’s Asian Boxing Championships will be held from 17-26 January 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand. A total of 243 athletes from across the continent have been registered to take part in the 2023 opening event.
Medals and trophies from 21 countries including Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Tajikistan, Kuwait, India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Philippines, Singapore, Laos, China, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, etc. The best boxer to bring home.
Having already proven himself to be the strongest athlete in his age group, the boxer is ready to shine at the upcoming Asian Boxing Championships.
Confirmed boxers include Men’s World Boxing Championship 2021 bronze medalist, Sempet Thanarat of Thailand, ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championship 2022 silver medalist, Yokubov Abdulrahim of Tajikistan, IBA Youth Men’s and Women’s World Championships 2022 silver medalist, Yokubov of Tajikistan Abdulrahim, ASBC Asians. The last ASBC U22 Asian Boxing Championship was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan last year, with 109 participants from 12 countries. In 2022 he won 16 titles, with Mongolia, Japan and Tajikistan also joining the list of winners.
Referee & Judge (R&J) 2 Star Course, Cutman Course and International Technical Officer (ITO) Course will be held during the Championship. In addition, ASBC’s Board of Directors will formally meet in Bangkok on his January 21st.
The opening ceremony of the ASBC U22 Asian Boxing Championships will take place on January 17th, with the finals scheduled for January 25th (women’s) and January 26th (men’s).
