The Milwaukee Bucks are not off to an ideal start this season, with a 1-3 record entering Thursdays matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies (2-2).

With the Bucks superstars shining bright through four appearances, the blame drifts to two parties.

The rest of the roster and coach Doc Rivers.

Considering Rivers impressive but shaky background in the league, most are putting the blame on him.

This includes NBA analyst Stephen A.

Smith, who issued a bold prediction on Rivers future in the NBA entirely.

I dont have the slightest clue," Smith said of the Bucks' shortcomings on ESPN .

"Doc Rivers again, Ive said this on many, many occasions.

Im a fan, I love the man, but if he doesnt get it done this year, this could be it for him for his career as a head coach in the National Basketball Association.

While this season could certainly end Rivers tenure in Milwaukee, its a much more bold claim to say he wont find a job elsewhere.

A bottom-feeding team could look to bring in Rivers as a piece of their rebuild, but the recent failures with contenders should steer them away.

The Bucks showed greater success under the leadership of Adrian Griffin, but locker room issues seemingly led them to fire him.

Rivers has a 19-23 record compared to a 30-13 under Griffin.

A first-round playoff exit would almost definitely result in a new person at the helm to start the 2026 season.
