Welcome to Bleacher Report's Top 25 college football quarterback rankings.

These rankings will again be a weekly feature published each Tuesday morning throughout the 2024 season, with the goal of identifying the 25 best QBs in the country each week as the season unfolds.

The only thing that matters here is on-field production in 2024.

That means past performance, future expectations, physical tools and NFL upside have all been removed from the equation.

Each quarterback's individual production and quality of opponent will be considered each week, and players will rise and fall based on where they ranked the previous week, so it will be a fluid process.

If your favorite team's quarterback is not currently on the list, fear not.

If a guy is putting up numbers, he will find his way onto the list.

On the flip side, a strong first few weeks will only going to go so far if a player falls flat in Week 6 and fails to duplicate his early success.

These 25 quarterbacks were also under consideration for a spot in the rankings but ultimately settled for an honorable mention following Week 5 action: Rocco Becht, Iowa State Emmett Brown, San Jose State Brady Cook, Missouri Bryson Daily, Army Joe Fagnano, UConn Noah Fifita, Arizona JC French, Georgia Southern Tucker Gleason, Toledo Seth Henigan, Memphis Avery Johnson, Kansas State Haynes King, Georgia Tech Riley Leonard, Notre Dame Gio Lopez, South Alabama Jordan McCloud, Texas State Kyle McCord, Syracuse Darian Mensah, Tulane Behren Morton, Texas Tech Miller Moss, USC Maalik Murphy, Duke Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt Marcel Reed, Texas A&M Jake Retzlaff, BYU Kaidon Salter, Liberty Evan Simon, Temple Ben Wooldridge, Louisiana Injured, Removed from Rankings Thomas Castellanos, Boston College Quinn Ewers, Texas Cam Rising, Utah Blake Shapen, Mississippi State 25.

Carson Beck, Georgia (Previous: 10) Stats: 83-of-132, 1,119 yards, 10 TD, 3 INT; 64 rush yards The preseason hype surrounding Beck, who opened the year as one of the Heisman favorites, has cooled considerably following Saturday's loss to Alabama.

He completed just 27-of-50 passes in that game and threw three interceptions, though he did also pile up 439 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

His 62.9 percent completion rate is the second-worst of any quarterback in our Top 25.

24.

Will Howard, Ohio State (Previous: HM) Stats: 72-of-105, 1,039 yards, 8 TD, 2 INT; 36 rush yards, 3 TD Howard has been on the fringe of these rankings all season, and he finally breaks through after throwing for 244 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score on the ground in a lopsided 38-7 win over Michigan State on the road.

He has one of the best wide receiver tandems in college football at his disposal in Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith.

23.

Dylan Raiola, Nebraska (Previous: 23) Stats: 100-of-142, 1,224 yards, 9 TD, 2 INT; -46 rush yards Among quarterbacks who have attempted at least 100 passes, Raiola ranks seventh with a 70.4 percent completion rate, and he has looked comfortable under center as a true freshman.

The Cornhuskers rebounded from a Week 4 loss to Illinois to knock off Purdue on the road, and Raiola threw for 257 yards and a touchdown in the 28-10 win.

22.

Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee (Previous: 22) Stats: 61-of-88, 892 yards, 7 TD, 2 INT; 117 rush yards, 1 TD The Volunteers have not needed Iamaleava to win games thanks to an elite rushing attack and one of the best defenses in the country, but he has done a solid job steering the ship and avoiding mistakes.

After a bye in Week 5, he will be back in action on Saturday on the road against Arkansas.

21.

Arch Manning, Texas (Previous: 25) Stats: 55-of-78, 900 yards, 9 TD, 2 INT; 82 rush yards, 3 TD In his second start filling in for the injured Quinn Ewers and his first career SEC start, Manning completed 26-of-31 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns, adding an additional 33 yards and a score with his legs.

The Longhorns cruised to a 35-13 victory over Mississippi State, and with a bye in Week 6, it could be Ewers back under center on Oct.

12 against Oklahoma.

20.

Chandler Morris, North Texas (Previous: HM) Stats: 123-of-188, 1,643 yards, 16 TD, 6 INT; 46 rush yards, 2 TD Morris threw three interceptions in back-to-back games against Stephen F.

Austin and Texas Tech, but he has settled in nicely the last two weeks with 744 yards and seven touchdowns against zero interceptions.

He torched the Tulsa defense for 439 yards and five touchdowns on Saturday, and his 16 passing touchdowns trail only Cam Ward on the FBS leaderboard.

19.

Tyler Shough, Louisville (Previous: 12) Stats: 76-of-117, 1,114 yards, 11 TD, 1 INT; 51 rush yards Shough threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday, but the Notre Dame defense also limited him to a modest 24-of-41 passing while also picking him off for the first time this season.

Louisville dropped from No.

15 to No.

22 in the AP poll with their first loss of the year, but Shough remains one of the season's early breakout quarterbacks.

18.

Brendan Sorsby, Cincinnati (Previous: HM) Stats: 108-of-163, 1,481 yards, 12 TD, 1 INT; 66 rush yards, 3 TD Sorsby put up huge numbers through the air in a 44-41 loss to Texas Tech, piling up 426 yards and four touchdowns.

The Indiana transfer has the Bearcats offense looking formidable on the heels of a 3-9 season a year ago, and they don't face a ranked opponent in conference play until Nov.

16 against Iowa State.

17.

Josh Hoover, TCU (Previous: 14) Stats: 139-of-199, 1,774 yards, 14 TD, 4 INT; -6 rush yards, 2 TD After losses in Week 3 and Week 4, Hoover threw for 356 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-27 victory over Kansas on Saturday.

While he has thrown a pair of interceptions in consecutive weeks, he also leads the Big 12 in passing yards (1,774) and touchdowns (14) heading into a Friday night matchup against Houston.

16.

Luke Altmyer, Illinois (Previous: 17) Stats: 91-of-130, 1,047 yards, 11 TD, 1 INT; 30 rush yards Altmyer threw for 1,883 yards with 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season at Illinois after transferring in from Ole Miss, and in his second season under center for the Fighting Illini he has taken a significant step forward.

He threw for 185 yards with one touchdown and one interception against a tough Penn State defense on Saturday, following a 215-yard, four-touchdown performance against Nebraska in Week 4.

15.

Alonza Barnett III, James Madison (Previous: 24) Stats: 66-of-102, 1,022 yards, 12 TD, 1 INT; 247 rush yards, 3 TD The word "gaudy" doesn't do justice to the numbers that Barnett has put up the last two weeks against North Carolina and Ball State: With a 5-0 start, James Madison is knocking on the door for a spot in the AP poll and looks like a serious contender for the Group of Five spot in the playoff field.

14.

Blake Horvath, Navy (Previous: 21) Stats: 30-of-44, 637 yards, 7 TD, 1 INT; 450 rush yards, 8 TD Horvath jumped into the rankings for the first time last week after throwing for 192 yards, rushing for 211 yards and scoring six total touchdowns in a huge victory over Memphis.

The dual-threat star is climbing once again after adding three more scores to his season tally in a 41-18 win over UAB on Saturday, and Navy is now off to a 4-0 start.

13.

Billy Edwards Jr., Maryland (Previous: 19) Stats: 128-of-177, 1,444 yards, 11 TD, 2 INT; 36 rush yards, 2 TD After connecting for two touchdown passes in each of Maryland's first four games, Edwards had 289 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-28 loss to Indiana on Saturday.

The first-year starter leads the Big Ten in completions (128), attempts (177), passing yards (1,444) and passing touchdowns (11), and the former 3-star recruit has done a nice job replacing Taulia Tagovailoa.

12.

Kurtis Rourke, Indiana (Previous: 18) Stats: 93-of-127, 1,372 yards, 11 TD, 2 INT; 46 rush yards, 2 TD Rourke came out on the winning end of Saturday's matchup against Billy Edwards Jr.

when he threw for 359 yards and three touchdowns, though he also threw his first two interceptions of the year.

The Ohio University transfer threw for 7,651 yards and 50 touchdowns in five years before hitting the transfer portal during the offseason.

11.

Drew Allar, Penn State (Previous: 9) Stats: 56-of-79, 864 yards, 8 TD, 1 INT; 92 rush yards, 2 TD Allar was not asked to do much in Saturday's win over a ranked Illinois team, as he completed 15-of-21 pass attempts for 135 passing yards and zero touchdowns, but the end result was still a 21-7 victory.

The running game piled up 239 yards and three touchdowns, and that will continue to be the team's bread and butter.

though Allar does lead the Big Ten in yards per attempt (10.9) and passer rating (193.6).

10.

Will Rogers, Washington (Previous: 16) Stats: 110-of-147, 1,354 yards, 10 TD, 0 INT; -12 rush yards Rogers threw for 12,315 yards and 94 touchdowns in four years at Mississippi State, though he averaged just 6.6 yards per attempt while completing 69.3 percent of his throws.

Those numbers have spiked to 9.2 yards per attempt and a 74.8 percent completion rate this year, and he had 306 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's loss to Rutgers.

9.

John Mateer, Washington State (Previous: 6) Stats: 89-of-153, 1,429 yards, 13 TD, 5 INT; 453 rush yards, 5 TD Mateer had a tough time finding room to run against the Boise State defense on Saturday, finishing with 28 yards on 20 carries.

He still ranks second among all quarterbacks and 22nd in the nation with 453 rushing yards, and he did throw for 327 yards and two touchdowns for his third 300-yard passing performance of the year in a 45-24 loss.

8.

Cade Klubnik, Clemson (Previous: 8) Stats: 73-of-110, 984 yards, 12 TD, 2 INT; 106 rush yards, 4 TD Klubnik had a somewhat disappointing first season as Clemson's starter last year, finishing with 2,844 yards, 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions, but he has taken a significant step forward this year.

Since turning in a dud against Georgia in the season opener, he has thrown for 842 yards and 12 touchdowns during the team's current three-game winning streak.

7.

Eli Holstein, Pittsburgh (Previous: 7) Stats: 87-of-129, 1,186 yards, 12 TD, 2 INT; 189 rush yards, 2 TD Dylan Raiola and Nico Iamaleava are generating plenty of buzz, but Holstein is arguably the best freshman quarterback in the country this year.

The Alabama transfer didn't see the field during a redshirt season last year, but he has the Panthers off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 2000.

A road matchup against North Carolina awaits this weekend coming off a bye.

6.

Shedeur Sanders, Colorado (Previous: 11) Stats: 138-of-197, 1,630 yards, 14 TD, 3 INT; 25 rush yards, 1 TD Since losing to Nebraska in Week 2, Sanders has looked more like the dynamic passing threat who took the college football world by storm a year ago.

In wins over Colorado State, Baylor and UCF, he has 941 passing yards, nine passing touchdowns, one interception and a rushing touchdown.

The Buffaloes have a bye this weekend before facing No.

20 Kansas State in Week 7.

Previous Rank: 5 Stats: 138-of-198, 1,652 yards, 15 TD, 4 INT; -5 rush yards, 2 TD LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier has done an admirable job replacing Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels so far this season, and he had a chance to pad his stats on Saturday in a 42-10 victory over South Alabama.

He finished with 409 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns, and while he also threw a pair of interceptions, his overall stat line is still more than good enough to keep him in the top five of these rankings.

After a bye this weekend, a huge matchup of one-loss SEC contenders awaits on Oct.

12 at home against Jaxson Dart and Ole Miss.

The winner could be a top-10 team on the other side, while the loser faces a huge uphill battle in the playoff picture.

Previous Rank: 4 Stats: 110-of-135, 1,192 yards, 9 TD, 1 INT; 49 rush yards, 2 TD Another week, another extremely efficient performance for Dillon Gabriel.

In his fourth game in an Oregon uniform following his offseason transfer from Oklahoma, he completed 31-of-41 attempts for 278 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in a 34-13 win over UCLA.

He now ranks No.

4 all-time with 16,057 career passing yards after overtaking Graham Harrell (15,793) on Saturday, and he might be just a couple weeks from moving up another notch with Landry Jones (16,646) in his sights.

The Ducks will need to be careful not to overlook Michigan State this weekend with a huge matchup against Ohio State on the horizon on Oct.

12.

Previous Rank: 2 Stats: 113-of-146, 1,815 yards, 13 TD, 2 INT; 112 rush yards, 3 TD Ole Miss was dealt a major blow when unranked Kentucky handed them a 20-17 loss on Saturday, and while the initial impact was dropping from No.

6 to No.

12 in the AP poll, things won't be easy going forward with LSU (Oct.

12), Oklahoma (Oct.

26) and Georgia (Nov.

9) still on the schedule.

To his credit, Jaxson Dart had a solid individual performance on Saturday, throwing for 261 yards and a touchdown without turning the ball over, but that was not enough for the Rebels to win the game.

A road game against South Carolina is up next, and Dart remains one of the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy.

Previous Rank: 3 Stats: 62-of-85, 964 yards, 10 TD, 1 INT; 273 rush yards, 8 TD We might look back on Week 5 as the performance that clinched the Heisman Trophy for Jalen Milroe if he continues to perform at a high level the rest of the way for an Alabama team that is now No.

1 in the AP poll.

The Crimson Tide star completed 27-of-33 pass attempts for 374 yards and two touchdowns, while adding another 117 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground in a 41-34 victory over Georgia.

His 75-yard touchdown pass to true freshman Ryan Williams with 2:18 remaining in the fourth quarter was the decisive score, and Milroe now has at least two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in each of Alabama's first four games.

Previous Rank: 1 Stats: 113-of-161, 1,782 yards, 18 TD, 4 INT; 146 rush yards, 2 TD With five games in the books, Cam Ward is in the driver's seat in the Heisman Trophy race piloting an undefeated Miami Hurricanes team that looks like the early favorite to win the ACC title.

The Washington State transfer added another 343 yards and four touchdowns through the air while also scrambling for a season-high 57 yards and a score en route to a 38-34 victory over Virginia Tech on Friday night.

Ward tested the NFL draft waters last offseason before returning to the transfer portal and landing at Miami to replace Tyler Van Dyke, and so far he has undoubtedly given his draft stock a boost in the early going this year..
